Depression in Women

Overview
In general, you are more likely to suffer a major depression if you are a woman.
In fact, twice as many women as men will have a depressive episode during
their lives. On the other hand, the incidence of bipolar depression is the
same for both sexes.
The illness of depression is most likely to appear in the late 20s to mid-30s.
Chronic low-grade depression, or Dysthymia, is also slightly more prevalent
among women and three to four times as many women as men suffer bouts of
seasonal depression.
Why do almost all types of depression affect women more often than men?
We don't know. One theory has a genetic base: women are born with two x
chromosomes, whereas men have only one x and one y chromosome. If some forms
of the disease are carried on the x chromosome, women would be more liable
to depression. This theory, however, has yet to be proved. According to
another theory, the different levels of some hormones in women account for
the greater occurrence of depression. Again, no convincing data has yet
been produced.

Some experts believe social factors are responsible for the difference
in the incidence of depression between men and women. For example, we know
that women with several children under the age of 10 and, who have an absent
husband, are more likely to suffer depression than other women. Other theories
suggest women are more likely to seek help when something was wrong, and
that women have been raised to express their emotions more clearly than
men. It could well be that each of these explanations has some truth.

Natural Depression Medication
Three major neurotransmitters (Serotonin, Dopamine and Norepinephrine) in the brain must be in balance for a balanced mood. When in an unbalanced state with each other, mood drops or depresses.
The complex of homeopathic medicinals in Deprex are much more powerful than one ingredient by itself because it not only supplies the precursors to these key mood-controlling neurotransmitters, but also the additional nutrients needed by the body to:
Help elevate mood by raising circulating Serotonin levels and assuring proper utilization
Help restore the appropriate production of Serotonin and Norepinephrine
Help restore clear sentient thinking and appropriate reality testing
Help calm and diminish oversensitivity
Deprex also provides nutritional and medicinal support for those going through periods of disappointment and/or rejection.
Unlike prescriptive antidepressant medications, Deprex is a non-prescriptive, alternative, providing the necessary precursors which complement the body's ability to potentiate the production and release of a very important naturally occurring neurotransmitter called Serotonin, which plays an important part in mood regulation, as well as increase Serotonin and Norepinephrine activity.
This potentiates the rebalancing of brain biochemistry, which in turn allows corrective perceptual processing of information and affect, insulating one stimulus from another for perceptual integrity and clarity, helping the individual to develop more constructive coping strategies, with an absence of anxiety.
Deprex is a scientifically advanced cerebral homeopathic medicinal designed to provide relief from mild depression and depressive disorders, including mood changes, mood imbalances and melancholy, and/or extended periods of simple sadness and grief. Deprex also provides nutritional and medicinal support for those going through periods of disappointment and/or rejection.

The cause of most depression: Serotonin
and Norepinephrine producing centers and interactive pathways become disrupted and imbalanced regarding respective receptor sensitivities and inhibitory mechanisms, and the Hypothalamus becomes dysfunctional.
Pictured above: Cross section of the Brain and the Pathways responsible for Serotonin and Norepinephrine production and distribution, and the Hypothalamus. Biochemical disruption in these areas have been shown
to result in various forms of depression.
What Is Depression and Why Do We Experience It?
There are three major neurotransmitters in the brain (Serotonin, Dopamine and Norepinephrine) which must be in the correct balance and constructive tension to affect and allow a positive, stable self-image and optimistic mood. However, when these neurotransmitters are in an unbalanced state with one another, mood changes are inevitable.
In general, when Serotonin levels drop, depression can quickly settle in, and when Serotonin levels can be made to rise, a happy contented mood generally results.
Researchers have found that Hypothalamic disturbances are also found in depression, interfering with neuroendocrine activity.
Hypothalamic disruptions can cause excessive amounts of Cortisol to be released from the Adrenal Cortex at inappropriate times which can cause and exacerbate depression. And, interestingly, about one-half of all depressed patients secrete excessive amounts of Cortisol, primarily during the afternoon and evening, as opposed to that of non-depressed people whose Cortisol activity peaks about 8:00 AM.
Deprex complements the body's ability to potentiate the release of a very important naturally occurring neurotransmitter named Serotonin, which plays an important part in mood regulation within the Hypothalamus and the entire Limbic System (the emotional center of the brain).
Common antidepressant drugs work artificially to selectively enhance and mimic Serotonin activity within the brain, but unfortunately are purported to cause a number of unwanted side effects, which can lead to serious long-term problems.
Within Deprex are select Homeopathic Medicines, which help the body to naturally regulate Hypothalmic activity and balance the natural production of Serotonin and Norepinephrine. Other Homeopathics important in helping to relieve depression are: Ignatia Amara (St. Ignatius Bean) and Avena Sativa. Ignatia Amara helps to calm extreme emotions of grief and hysteria. Avena Sativa helps with nervous exhaustion, and sleeplessness.
Also within Deprex are 8 other homeopathic ingredients that aid in the reduction of Depression symptoms such as: insomnia, headaches, restlessness, fatigue, changes in appetite, uncontrollable weeping, etc.
Deprex works effectively to help elevate moods, restore the appropriate production of Serotonin and Norepinephrine, diminish anxiety, restore clear sentient thinking, and calm and diminish oversensitivity.
Attention Physicians, Psychologists, and Mental Health Care Professionals: Deprex may be taken with other medications, however, ask your healthcare professional prior to use if taking anti-depressant medications.
Under no circumstance should this formula be recommended in lieu of professional therapeutic and medicinal intervention.
IMPORTANT: A therapeutic strategy involving the use of Deprex with other drugs, or as a replacement strategy, is the sole discretion of a person's Physician or Health Professional. In all cases of clinical depression, always seek a Physician's guidance first; intervention without your Physician's guidance is not recommended.
